Hitting macros can be easy if you starts tracking your food and adjusting. 

Wherever you are in your fitness journey I recommend taking a few days and logging down everything that you eat (be specific and as precise as you can)

Regardless of your goals, you need to know what you are fueling your body with to take the next step and make adjustments for the better.

In regards to macros specifically my go to formula has always been to get 0.8 grams to 1.2 grams of protein per lbs of body weight. 

Both fats and carbs can be used as an energy source so you can opt for a more carb heavy or fat heavy diet but none the less aim to get adequate protein.

You need to read these tips ⬇️

But first make sure to follow @thecurvebuilder for more practical tips on how to build lean curves!

Here are 6 tips if you are looking to build curves while losing fat! 

1️⃣ Don’t be afraid to go HEAVY! 

A good rule of thumb - if you can easily crank out 10+ reps then it’s time to try a heavier weight. You can’t build curves without weights!

2️⃣ Cardio AFTER your weights

Use your energy to lift heavy and leave the cardio for afterwards (but also don’t over do the cardio - you can also incorporate HIIT with your workout)

3️⃣ Quality over quantity 

I often say this in class - rather you slow it down and do a few less reps with a good weight than do fast, uncontrolled movements. Slow it down and concentrate on your lifts. 

4️⃣ Eat at or near your maintenance calories.

If you do not have a lot of weight to lose or are trying to maintain then there is no need to restrict your calories.
Look up a BMR calculator to find out what your maintenance calories should be, then track your foods for a few days to see how much you are eating and adjust from there!

5️⃣ Be consistent and patient.

The most important tip is to be consistent with your workouts and food. You don’t need to be in the gym every day but you do need to show up early week consistently whether it’s 3 days or 4 or more. Building muscle in particular requires this - if you keep missing a week here and a week there it will be impossible your body to adapt! 

6️⃣ Prioritize your rest and sleep.

It’s 2025 yall! If you still did not get the memo about sleep don’t know what to say! Your body recovers during your sleep - try to go to the bed at the same time and get up at the same time every day.
