Officially starting running and training for my very first 5K with @tocarnivalrun 🥳

Listen, I’ve *never* been a running girlie, always weights or sports but three weeks ago decided I was going to start running. 

Really enjoying my runs so far - here is how I have structured my routine and program to prepare myself and get better!

1. I run 3 - 4 a week! Started with a 2KM run and now adding distance and speed incrementally.

2. I am using a free app from @decathloncanada  to keep me on track! I enrolled in a 6 week beginners program and it’s very well structured and helpful!

3. I’ve invested in the paid version of @athlytic app - This app is a must for anyone who likes to see and collect data on their vitals, sleep and workouts. It tells me if I am over training and need to rest, when my sleep is not restorative or if I should tack on more workouts. 

4. I roll using a calf/ muscle roller stick and a foam roller to help with my recovery. I found mine at a nearby thrift store for $5!

5. I prepare for my run with these delicious electrolyte and creatine gummies by @gummynutritionlab -check them out!

6. I have not invested in good running shoes yet but did create a little running water pack with a small back pack and water pouch from @decathloncanada. Makes it so much easier to have water handy and not be reaching for it!

Looking forward to getting better and competing on July 26th!
